About Jenny Wilkinson
Following attainment of the AMusA Diploma in piano, I have enjoyed over 30 years of specialised piano tuition. Predominantly offering one to one piano lessons for students of various ages and levels, my experience also includes teaching pre-school group classes and piano teaching in various primary and secondary schools.
As a Registered Member of The Tasmanian Music Teachers’ Association and Professional Member of The Queensland Music Teachers’ Association, I continue to regularly participate in professional development sessions to keep up with the latest teaching trends. I was honoured to have been awarded Life Membership for service to both TMTA and The Hobart Eisteddfod Society. In Queensland, I held the position of Co-ordinator of the QMTA Gold Coast Music Teacher Group from 2018 to 2021.
Many of my students have successfully participated in eisteddfods and exams (including Diplomas) with excellent results, but more importantly, all students have enjoyed learning about music and piano playing, which often has assisted them with other musical pursuits and enhanced their insight and appreciation of music, the universal language.
